The Challenge

Most people building a newsletter on beehiiv are writers first, not engineers or DNS experts. Traditionally,  going live on a custom domain has meant logging into a domain registrar, finding the right CNAME and TXT records, and pasting them in exactly right, with no real feedback if something's off. beehiiv's own support team saw exactly where that detour led: when a domain connection failed, it was usually "user error or Cloudflare-related," and untangling it meant one of beehiiv’s support team members digging through dashboard logs case by case. Every hour spent there was an hour a creator wasn't writing, and an hour beehiiv's team wasn't building the next thing its writers actually needed.

The Solution

Rather than teach every creator how DNS works, beehiiv removed the need to understand it out of the process entirely by adopting Entri. Entri Connect is embedded directly into beehiiv's custom-domain setup, replacing "go copy this TXT record" with a guided, provider-aware flow a first-time creator can finish without ever knowing what a CNAME is, documented right in beehiiv's own help center as just a normal part of publishing.
